Who are the hosts?

Your hosts for the tour are Andrea and his parents Georgio and Frida.

What makes it special?

For me, there are two main things that make this tour and business special.

Firstly, it’s a small, family-run business. Instead of a big, corporate tour, you’re directly inserted into the heart and soul of the business which gives you a unique and authentic experience.

I love supporting local businesses, so this was a really special find.

The passion for producing the highest quality liquor is evident in every step of the process and with every story Andrea tells you.

That passion and integrity is the other thing that sets this tour apart.

How to get the most out of the experience

This tour is best for a small group because then Andrea and his family can also arrange snacks and even cooking demonstrations using the liquor.

That way, you get a full event experience that takes this tour to the next level.

If you’ve got a birthday, farewell, or any other celebration coming up, it’s a great opportunity to get the girls together and arrange one of these tours. Even ‘just because’ is a good enough reason to get a group together for a day out if you ask me.

I went solo and it’s not the best for that because aside from not being able to do tastings because you’re the driver, you don’t get the complete event experience.

What to expect on the limoncello tasting tour

When you’re welcomed into the building, you’ll be where all the limoncello magic happens.

It’s a small room but each space is maximized to the fullest potential.

The tour itself is not walking through a huge facility – it’s walking through each step of the process of making limoncello and other infused liquors in this room.

You’ll learn all about how these lemons travel from the Amalfi Coast before getting peeled, soaked, and infused into a pure limoncello with no artificial colorings or flavors.

Want to know how to spot a limoncello with artificial ingredients added? You’ll learn that too and this is what I found really interesting and helpful – I’ve even found myself judging limoncello I’ve seen at the store since learning about it.

I was also interested to learn about the process of nothing going to waste. Since they only use the rinds for limoncello, it was interesting to learn about how they use the lemon flesh so it isn’t wasted and also how they use the rinds after the infusion to give them a second life. I’ll leave all that for Andrea to explain to you, but it was all interesting to learn about.

It’s not only limoncello, though.

You’ll also learn about all sorts of different liquor infusions that are made there. When it comes to these flavors, the only limit is the imagination. And it seems Andrea’s imagination has no limits. He had everything from chocolate, to lavender, to basil, to even asparagus!

What can you buy?

Of course, you’re going to want to pick up a stash of liquor to take home with you and you can get a little collection at the end of the tour. These are the liquors you can buy:

  • Frida’s Limoncello
  • Lemon Cheese Cake Liquor (creamy lemon)
  • Frida’s Arancello (orange liquor)
  • Licorice Liquor
  • Coffee Liquor

You can also buy other products like hand sanitizer, chocolate-coated rinds, or jams depending on what they have at the time.

If you’re looking for a gift to send home to family and friends, they have gift boxes with a range of liquor flavors that would make a perfect gift.
